Position Summary

The Business Development Leader will drive growth for HPSG by building relationships with hospital executives and healthcare leaders, generating new client opportunities, and promoting the measurable results of HPSG’s services. This role combines consultative sales with strategic partnership development, ensuring that prospective clients see HPSG as their trusted advisor for workforce and leadership solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of hospital executive prospects.
  • Lead consultative sales conversations, uncovering organizational pain points such as retention, turnover, and leadership development gaps.
  • Present tailored proposals and case studies that highlight proven ROI from HPSG services.
  • Create customized solutions for prospective clients.
  • Represent HPSG at conferences, webinars, and networking events to increase visibility and generate leads.
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities and activity in CRM, reporting progress to leadership.
  • Collaborate with Partner Relations Coordinators (PRCs) for a smooth handoff from sales to delivery.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of healthcare business development, consulting sales, or B2B healthcare services.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and close deals in a B2B environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and client needs.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment with up to 75% travel.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual collaboration tools.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $110,000 – $135,000
  • Incentives: Commission/bonus structure based on revenue goals. If goals are met, the total expected annual earnings are $150,000 – $175,000.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  The key physical requirements of this position include the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 50 pounds to be able to manage luggage during travel, and the use of standard kitchen and office equipment including computers. 

Position Type & Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, regular, exempt position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, but hours could vary to include nights and weekends, some holidays, company events and other business needs. Travel required.
